TRIP ITINERARY
Camp, hike, fish, explore! Come and join the thrill and excitement of white water rafting with the adventure rafting team!
Day 01: Arrival in Leh – Transfer to Bilupa Mountain Lodge (Chushot Village)
- Warm welcome at the airport and drive to the tranquil Bilupa Mountain Lodge on the banks of the Indus.
- Orientation by the local team and overview of the wilderness program.
- Evening short acclimatization walk by the Indus marshes for early birding (waterfowl, waders, ibisbill).
- Stay: Bilupa Mountain Lodge
- Meals: MAPAI (Breakfast & Dinner)
Day 02: Culture & Saddles – Thiksey Monastery & Horseback Safaris
- Early morning prayers at Thiksey Monastery, followed by a monastery heritage walk.
- Return for local Ladakhi breakfast at the lodge.
- Afternoon horseback safari along the river plains and Indus banks.
- Visit to the old town of Leh or Stok Heritage House (optional depending on weather).
- Stay: Bilupa Mountain Lodge
Day 03 & 04: Warila Valley – Tracking Lynx, Tibetan Sand Fox & Himalayan Wolf

Full-day expeditions to Warila region (both days), a high-altitude pass with marshlands and rocky outcrops known for sightings of:
- Lynx (rare and elusive)
- Tibetan Sand Fox
- Himalayan Wolf
- Migratory birds (depending on season)
- Field tracking with our expert naturalists and spotters.
- Packed lunches with views of vast alpine desert.
- Return to lodge by evening for storytelling sessions and starry night skies.

Day 05: Matho Phu – Searching for the Elusive Snow Leopard & Leopards
- Early departure to Matho Phu, a known terrain for sightings of Snow Leopard and leopards.
- Scouting from hidden ridges and strategic points.
- Picnic-style lunch with mountain backdrops.
- Return to Bilupa for the final night, bonfire and reflections.

Day 06: Drive to Mangyu – Into Snow Leopard Country
- Scenic drive to Mangyu, tucked away near the snow leopard corridor of Ulley, Timti, and Hemis Shukpachan belt.
- Enroute halts for photography and wildlife watch.
- Check-in at Mangyu Lodge, made from local mud-brick architecture and sustainably operated.
- Sunset walk around the 11th-century Mangyu Monastery, untouched by mass tourism.

Day 07 to 09: Snow Leopard Tracking & Himalayan Raptors
- Three full days of immersive wildlife expeditions led by expert trackers from the local community.

Day 10: Departure from Leh
- Early drive back to Leh Airport with packed breakfast.
- Enroute discussions on responsible travel, local conservation efforts, and future volunteering possibilities.
